Hosted Weight Room

Hosted Weight Room is an opportunity for adult and youth members to receive their fitness orientation with YMCA Fitness Professionals.  Youth ages 12-15 that HAVE COMPLETED their Youth Fitness Orientation (YFO) are also able to enjoy the Weight Room under the supervision of trained Fitness Staff during this time.

Schedule

We have Hosted Weight Room (HWR) times at both branches. 

Janesville YMCA
Mondays, Wednesdays: 5 – 7PM
Thursdays: 10AM – 12PM
Tuesdays: 4 – 6PM
Saturdays: 10AM – 12PM (March 15th, April 12th, May 10th)

Parker YMCA
Monday: 4 – 6PM
Wednesday: 10AM – 12PM
Saturdays 10AM – 12PM (March 29th, April 26th)

Fitness Orientations

FREE for Y members, Fitness Orientations are a 15-30 minute introduction to our fitness center, weight room and group exercise opportunities.

  • Learn how to use equipment including cardio, weights, and machines
  • Receive a guided tour & explanation of the weight room and fitness center
  • Discuss opportunities to build your routine with our group exercise classes
Fitness orientations are available during Hosted Weight Room times.

KICKSTART your fitness with this 30 minute assessment and goal-focused session with a certified personal trainer! Discuss your health goals and get a professional assessment of your fitness & form. Only $20!

During this KICKSTART, you’ll get a certified personal trainer’s input on:

  • Setting reasonable fitness goals
  • What a practical fitness plan could look like for you, personally
  • Tips on how to improve your form

This is also a great opportunity to discuss Personal Training available to you here at the Y!
